You are invited to register for Webinar 2 on St Albans City Centre Vision.
Back in June, we held the first webinar conference that looked both at the national picture for the development of city centres as well as a local perspective from the St Albans City and District Council on the future of St Albans city centre.
On 8th December at 6 pm, there will be a follow up meeting to look at the next stage in the development of a City Centre Vision for St Albans with presentations from three experts in the field:
James Hampton of New Makers Bureau, who took part in the June webinar conference will present his report that we commissioned, St Albans City Centre Vision Initial Ideas.
To create a City Centre Vision that has planning statutory status requires, under the Localism Act 2011, the formation of a Neighbourhood Forum, which can then draft a Neighbourhood Plan. David Carlisle, Associate Director of AECOM, who is contracted to deliver planning services through the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) to Locality (a nationwide network of community organisations), will explain the process of producing a Neighbourhood Plan.
The last speaker is Ros Rivaz, who led on the Eton and Eton Wick Neighbourhood Plan, will talk about her experiences – the good and the bad.
Please register to participate here
We look forward to seeing you then.
