Fashion Show Success at first ever #StyleStAlbans

20 Nov 2018

Friday 19 October saw St Albans Museum + Gallery come alive with fashionistas, prosecco and catwalk swagger as #StyleStAlbans celebrated its debut event in the Assembly Rooms. 300 audience members watched 20 models showcase the styling of 10 St Albans retailers with hair and makeup by local salons too.

Bloggers, social media influencers and journalists took to the Front Row to snap away at the looks with retailers reporting a surge in sales on the Saturday as audience members and online watchers took to the shops to buy their favourite picks.
Participating businesses were: Atelier Ferrari Monti, Chloe James Lifestyle, The Dressing Room, Earley’s, French Connection, Gladrags, LK Bennet, Simply French, Sweaty Betty, and White Stuff. Hair and beauty looks for the season were provided by Bare Minerals, Lee Moran, SAKS and Sanrizz.
BID Manager Helen Burridge said “We are delighted that Style St Albans was such a blast for so many people! The Assembly Rooms came alive, the models had a swing in their step and the hair and makeup was stunning too. The audiences seemed to love the evening: we’ve heard great reports of tills ringing all weekend to snap up the styles that they saw! Make sure you follow #stylestalbans on social media channels to keep up to date with new stock in the city. Thanks to all the many people that helped St Albans BID deliver such a glamorous and stylish event.”
