Gin & Jazz

26 Sep 2025

A night of music, mixology and late night shopping

An evening of timeless sounds and exquisite flavours returns to the heart of St Albans with Gin & Jazz on George Street. Taking place on Friday 3rd October from 6:00pm to 10:30pm, this vibrant event will transform George Street into a lively celebration of music, culture, and community.

Guests will be treated to live jazz performances from The George Street Jazz Collectors, New River Dixielanders and Chris Flegg; creating the perfect soundtrack for an evening of socialising and discovery. Alongside the music, a curated selection of premium gins will be available from local bars and distilleries, offering everything from classic serves to innovative cocktails.

The historic charm of George Street provides the perfect backdrop for this unique event, with participating venues opening their doors to showcase the best of St Albans’ hospitality. Visitors can expect a buzzing atmosphere, delicious food, and the chance to explore the street’s independent shops, bars, and restaurants.

The popular event is organised by St Albans City Centre BID and George Street Retail Association.

Vivien Cannon, Manager at St Albans City Centre BID, says: “Gin & Jazz is more than music and cocktails—it’s a vibrant celebration that showcases local businesses while bringing the community together for an unforgettable social event.”

Sponsors this year include KP Waste and Sopwell House.
