Our aim is to create a positive ambience in our city, maintaining and creating a smart, attractive, and accessible environment for visitors, residents, and workers to enjoy, including key points of entry and exit.
The objective is to enhance the natural beauty of our historic city by continuing to provide welcome signage, flowers, banners, bunting, seating, window dressing and Christmas/seasonal lights at key points in the year.
We continue to identify areas in need of attention for example reporting graffiti and fly-tipping and issues. BID will work in collaboration where beneficial through providing additional support to the baseline services of the Council in key public realm areas which will improve the experience for those who live, work and visit.

Tackling cigarette waste.
We will be putting up questions on the bin, and smokers can cast their vote by stubbing out their cigarette and posting it in the bin.
St Albans City & District Council’s contractor will empty and dispose of the stubs every month. Over the course of the year we can move the location of the bin and spread the message, and fun.
