New Guide Launched To Help Visitors Discover The Best Of St Albans

20 Jun 2022

The official visitor guide for 2022-23 has launched with 40,000 copies being distributed across the district and nationally and online, with links to local attractions and businesses.

Featuring a stunning image of St Albans Cathedral on the front and back cover, the 52-page guide covers St Albans and the surrounding areas to inspire people to make the most of their stay. Created by St Albans BID, the guide is packed with helpful information and stunning images impressively captured by local photographers.

New for this year is a hand-drawn map created by local artist and designer, Hannah Sessions which directs people to the shopping areas and highlights the streets where visitors can discover the city centre’s exceptional collection of independent shops and restaurants. 40,000 copies have been printed and will be distributed locally in key attractions including St Albans Museum + Gallery, St Albans Cathedral and outside the BID office on French Row.

The BID has also partnered with a national distribution company to deliver copies to motorway services, airports, rail networks, tourist information centres, hotels and theatres and key tourist hotspots.

Richard Marrett, Destination Manager at the BID said: “Whether people are looking for the perfect spot for lunch, where to shop, or places to explore- this guide is a great resource to help visitors make the most of their stay. After the last two years, we are delighted to welcome people to St Albans and want to showcase the array of vibrant events and activities that people of all ages can enjoy across the next year.”
