The City Centre Partnership (CCP) will be launching the process to establish a Business Improvement District (BID) for St Albans, built by local businesses for local businesses and managed by local businesses.
The CCP, a business led partnership of the private and public sector, has been formed to ensure that St Albans City builds on its strengths and rises to the challenges of the changing face of British city centres, now and in the future.
The launch will outline the methods in which a BID will play a vital role by concentrating on five key objectives:
- City centre appearance
- Events, festivals and visitor experience
- Business support
- Marketing and promotion of the city
- Local engagement and partnership
Richard Marrett from the CCP will be joined by Mark Ross from the Association of Town and City Management to give details on how the BID is:
