St Albans BID is delighted to announce the launch of Music in the Park this Summer. Sponsored by SA Law, this is a brand‑new lunchtime event designed to encourage local employees to step away from their desks and enjoy a proper break in a relaxed outdoor setting.
Taking place in the Civic Rose Garden, Charter Close (behind the Civic Centre and St Peter’s Street), Music in the Park will bring live musical performances to the heart of the city across the summer months. The initiative is open to all BID member businesses and aims to reward staff with uplifting, high‑quality lunchtime entertainment.
The sessions will run once a month from May to September, on the first Wednesday of each month, between 12 noon and 2 pm. Employees are invited to bring their lunch, along with a picnic blanket or chair, and enjoy live music while mixing with fellow St Albans workers.
The programme features talented local musicians and media partners, including smooth jazz, guitar, saxophone and a special live ‘on air’ appearance from local radio station Mix 92.6.

- Wednesday 3 June – Mix 92.6 (Live broadcast)

Music in the Park is part of the BID’s Business and Community objective, supporting wellbeing, encouraging connection and helping to create a welcoming, positive atmosphere for those who work in St Albans.
“As a business based in the BID area, and just around the corner from these events, we see first-hand the value these initiatives bring to St Albans. Events like this create a vibrant city centre and support the wellbeing of people who work close by.”
