For 2019/2020 we will curate a range of events to drive footfall and highlight the expertise and cultural capital hidden in plain sight in the City Centre. The return of the fabulous George Street Gin & Jazz with music, food and of course, gin! A boutique shopping evening with a chance to explore cocktails, mixers and more. This is a St Albans Food & Drink Festival event.
With a Festive Friends trail around the City, you can collect the cards and play with your friends. Also pop into Santa's Post Office in Christopher Place to write your letter to Father Christmas with the help of our elves, and send it on its magical journey to the North Pole!

St Albans’ vintage and history festival returned in 2019 on the the second weekend of Heritage Open Days. We celebrated local heros with the theme of People Power and enjoyed golf, retro dancing, photography and science workshops: a variety of activities for the public to enjoy.
If you live or work in St Albans you’ll have no excuse for not knowing – as shops, offices and other businesses take their turn to reveal the date in their decorated windows.
Friday 19 October saw St Albans Museum + Gallery come alive with fashionistas, prosecco and catwalk swagger as #StyleStAlbans celebrated its debut event in the Assembly Rooms. 300 audience members watched 20 models showcase the styling of 10 St Albans retailers with hair and makeup by local salons too.
On Sunday 16 September, the second weekend of Heritage Open Days, St Albans turned back in time. Each street was themed to a different era with a variety of activities for the public to enjoy.
On Friday 18 May you can Taste the High Life in St Albans’ Christopher Place with an evening of cocktails, shopping, summer fashions and live music from the Swanvesta Social Club.
